Kazakh President Tokayev has scheduled a referendum on amendments to the Constitution for June 5

This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the decree of the Kazakh leader.

The document says that the President of Kazakhstan decides to hold a republican referendum on June 5, 2022.

Earlier, deputies of the upper house of the Parliament of Kazakhstan during the meeting returned to the Majilis the draft amendments to the law "On the Republican Referendum" and excluded the mention of the first president from it.

At the end of April, Tokayev suggested that the question of amending the republic's constitution be put to a referendum.
