An AI robot named Bibbi has been developed at Blekinge University of Technology.

The idea is that she will relieve the staff in the library by answering simple questions, and helping students when there are no librarians on site.

Something that P4 Blekinge told about.

- She can, among other things, answer where books are, and help reserve books and obtain a library card, says Peter Linde, creator and project manager.

Starting work this fall

The hope is that the robot will be ready for use by the start of the autumn term - but until then, there are several challenges to solve.

- The challenges are to make her understand everything when you talk, because you can ask questions in many ways and in many dialects.

She must also be able to handle several people in front of her, and then know who to talk to, says Kristoffer Lindström, creator and system developer.
