Candidate Dong-Hoon Han's side criticized him, saying, "We need to apologize for spreading false information about minors."
Mayor Park Nam-chun said on his SNS on the 5th that he had heard a report that said that a candidate had won an award from the head of an organization affiliated with Incheon Metropolitan City in 2020, and claimed that it was "not true."
However, the name of a candidate's eldest daughter was listed in the 2020 award history of the Youth Activity Promotion Center, one of Incheon's entrusted organizations, raising questions about Park's claim.
Mayor Park deleted the previous post this evening and re-posted, saying, "In relation to the performance of one candidate's eldest daughter, we have received awards in 2020 and 2021, so we will correct the facts."

Earlier, on the 4th, MBC reported that a candidate's eldest daughter "was awarded the Incheon Mayor's Award and the Seoul Mayor's Award" in an interview article with the American media, but the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Incheon Metropolitan City responded that there was no record of awarding them.
In response, a candidate's side countered, "The candidate's eldest daughter has received awards from the Mayor of Seoul in 2021 and the heads of organizations affiliated with Incheon Metropolitan City in 2020."
Meanwhile, through today's press release, the city of Seoul explained that the award history of a candidate's eldest daughter was confirmed.
