China's envoy to the UN: NATO's eastward expansion has not made Europe safer 

The Chinese diplomat said this during a meeting of the UN Security Council.

“NATO's repeated eastward expansion after the Cold War not only failed to make Europe any safer, but sowed the seeds of conflict,” he said.

Jun also said that the supply of weapons to Ukraine will not bring peace.

He noted the need for negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv.
