After the riot in Örebro - parents were threatened after young people cleaned in Sveaparken

The violent riot in Sveaparken in Örebro caused devastation and littering.

Several Muslim youths from Vivalla decided to clean up the park and show their support for the residents in the immediate area.

"Be so scared"

But afterwards, several of their parents have been threatened with death over the phone.

SVT Nyheter Örebro has been in contact with one of them, who says that he was called by a man from a hidden number.

- I was so scared that I could not fall asleep again, says the parent.

Burned pages from the Koran

The parent also says that the family has received two letters home, addressed to the children, with burnt pages from the Koran.

- We do not know who sent them.

The police have not done anything, they sent a decision after two days that there is nothing to investigate.

How are your children?

- Of course it raises thoughts in them.

I felt that it became serious when we got the letters home.

But we are believers and think that nothing will happen as long as we have Allah, says the parent.

According to the Bergslagen police region, no police reports have been received regarding threatening conversations, apart from the police report of burned pages from the Koran.

- It is not something we know, we do not see any trend with reports regarding this, says Johan Dahlgren, group manager local police area Örebro.
