A fire ravaged a building which housed a leisure center in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis), this Wednesday.
According to Actu Seine-Saint-Denis, the fire started around 4 a.m.
Firefighters managed to prevent the flames from spreading to the kindergarten located next door.
The accident caused no casualties.
About fifty children attended the center during the school holidays.
They were distributed to other centers, specifies

"Their usual animators will continue to supervise them until the end of the week", indicates the municipality in a press release.
The city evokes the criminal trail
The origin of the fire could be criminal, according to the city.
“Given the triggering of the intrusion alarm last night and the first elements collected by the scientific police, the criminal origin of the fire is the preferred track”, advances the town hall, stressing that “the Republic will not give in”.
"The city of Saint-Denis would then condemn in the strongest terms this cowardly and despicable act, towards municipal equipment dedicated to children", she wrote again.
According to the municipality, the facts could be linked to the "harassment work that the municipal police and the national police have been carrying out in recent weeks at a neighborhood deal point, near the school".
