In the event of a nuclear war, the Il-80 can act as an air command post and ensure the effective command of Russian leaders and the military over the Russian army, so it is known as the "doomsday aircraft".
Also participating in the rehearsal were the Tu-22M3 long-range bomber, the new MiG-31 fighter and the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter.
Russian Defense Minister Shoigu said in a conference call held on the 4th that the military parade to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the victory of the Great Patriotic War will be held in 28 cities in Russia on May 9, with about 65,000 people, more than 2,400 kinds of military equipment and More than 460 aircraft participated in the military parade.
