Usmanov filed a lawsuit with the European Court due to being on the sanctions list

Information about this was confirmed by TASS in the press service of the court.

“The suit of Mr. Alisher Usmanov against the [EU] Council was filed on 29 April.

The plaintiff demands the annulment of the decision of the Council on the introduction of restrictive measures against him and the suspension of the execution of prohibitive measures until a court decision is made, ”the press service said.

In February, the EU included in the sanctions list a number of Russian officials and businessmen, including Alisher Usmanov.
