“The parties condemned the launch of a ballistic missile by North Korea, which poses a serious threat not only to the Korean Peninsula, but to the entire international community, and also frankly violates a number of UN Security Council resolutions,” the South Korean Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The parties agreed to continue to monitor the actions of the DPRK, to be in close contact, and to take common measures within the framework of the UN Security Council.

Earlier it was reported that the United States intends to intensify work in the UN to tighten sanctions against the DPRK.
