It all started with the "deep boredom" of engineering students at Insa in Rennes in 1967. More than half a century later, Rock'n Solex is today the oldest student festival in France and one of the biggest Solex races in Europe.

After two years on stand-by due to Covid-19 (edition canceled in 2020 and online in 2021), the Rock'n Solex is back on track until Sunday on the Beaulieu campus.

Here is the detail of the festival program!

Petrol races will be, as always, one of the highlights of this 55th edition.

From Friday to Sunday, several hundred crews will rev the engines and compete in tests of technique, endurance and speed.

It promises to be a spectacle on the circuit, especially during the endurance race, the queen event of the competition.

"Each year, there are many machines that do not hold up to the race, endurance does not forgive", indicate the organizers.

A stand selling spare parts will however be set up to allow riders to repair their machine and get going again.

Fest-noz, electro and Gwendoline

In the evening, place to music.

The traditional fest-noz will launch the festivities this Wednesday evening with Loened Fall, Tekmao and Poan Benn which will make the festival-goers dance.

This will then increase in power with about twenty artists programmed on the two stages.

The line-up will, as often happens, be quite electro-focused with the presence of DJs X-Coast, Hector Oaks and the Texture collective.

Previewed at the Trans Musicales last year, the Rennes rock group Gwendoline will also be there.
