An agent of the Grand Est regional council is accused of financial crimes by a company in Bogny-sur-Meuse.

Registered by the business manager and denounced by the mayor of Charleville-Mézières (Ardennes), Boris Ravignon, the suspect would have threatened to block the payment of a large subsidy if he did not touch part of it, as reported

Laid off by the Region on April 7, this territorial agent is now the subject of an investigation.

A complaint was filed the same day against him at the gendarmerie by the business manager who was allegedly the victim of blackmail, as confirmed on Tuesday by the public prosecutor of the Ardennes.

The investigation continues

Specialized in economic development and assistance to companies, he would have claimed around 40,000 € for the granting of the subsidy, amounting to around 350,000 €.

According to information from our colleagues, the latter was intended for the construction of a new building.

Investigators must now analyze the recordings and determine whether the charges against the agent involve other people.

A few months from retirement, the latter continues to proclaim his innocence.
