In 2020, the speed was reduced from 90 kilometers to 80 kilometers, but now it will be 90 again.

The sections affected are: 504 Sveg - 84 Älvros, 316 Älden - E14 Brunflo and E14 Östersund - 753 Häggenås.

The hope is that all signs on the relevant routes will be replaced in one day, but due to the amount of signs, it may take an extra day.

The government repealed the decision

At the beginning of the year, the government revoked the Swedish Transport Administration's decision from 2020, to reduce speeds on a number of sections on four roads.

Despite this, road safety is still a priority and the Swedish Transport Administration is working on a number of different initiatives to achieve the zero vision.

- We will continue the important work to save lives in traffic and there the speed adjustments are an important measure among many.

We need to collaborate more and find new ways to work with traffic safety to achieve the Zero Vision, says Helena Werre in a press release.
