The driver of a mixer truck died on Monday morning in an accident in Mons, near Alès (Gard).

When the firefighters arrived on the scene, the vehicle was lying on its side, below the road, in a ditch, indicates the Gard fire and rescue department.

The victim, who was trapped in the cabin of the truck when help arrived, died.

Nothing is known, for the moment, of the circumstances of the tragedy.

The firefighters of Gard, who engaged five vehicles in this intervention, indicate that only the heavy goods vehicle is involved in this accident.

The road had to remain closed for several hours while the vehicle was lifted.
