As the ambassador noted, the Austrian Foreign Ministry assured the embassy that during the ceremony, tribute would be paid to the memory of the fallen Soviet soldiers.

Lyubinsky added that under the current conditions, the embassy and all Russian representations in Austria will continue the full implementation of their own program of commemorative events.

Earlier, Lyubinsky announced the withdrawal of the invitation of Russian diplomats to the event on the occasion of the next anniversary of the liberation of the Mauthausen concentration camp in Austria.
