US President Joe Biden said on Tuesday that the Javelin missiles the United States sent to Ukraine had made a real difference and "that I'm proud of," but acknowledged that his country's support for Kiev in the war would be costly.

Biden confirmed in his speech today that he requested more funds from Congress to provide more aid and supplies to Ukraine, in order to stand up to the atrocities committed by Russia.

"The Javelin missiles that we manufacture and that we sent to Ukraine have changed people's lives, and more of these missiles as well as other defense systems will arrive in Ukraine soon," he said.

The US President stressed that Washington's support enabled the Ukrainians to continue fighting and made this war a strategic failure for Russia.

He stressed that his country's policy is to support Ukraine to defeat Russian forces without risking entering into a third world war.

According to Biden, the courage of the Ukrainian fighters in defending their country is incredible, noting that the Ukrainians deserve better for defeating Russian aggression.

On February 24, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine, followed by international rejection and severe economic sanctions against Moscow, which stipulate to end its operation that Kyiv abandon plans to join military entities and remain neutral, which the latter considers an "interference in its sovereignty."
