The man from Skellefteå who is suspected of several cases of sexual abuse of children is now sentenced by Skellefteå District Court to five years in prison.

A total of twelve young girls in their late teens have been exposed.

The man is convicted of, among other things, rape of children, sexual abuse of children, aggravated exploitation of children for sexual posing and child pornography offenses.

Contacted the children via social media

The crimes have mostly occurred online, via social media, where he forced girls to pose.

He has also persuaded girls to send nude photos and videos of them performing sexual acts on themselves.

The man is also convicted of three rapes against a 13-year-old girl.

The rapes took place in the man's home and at a school.

The man denies the serious crimes, but the district court considers the children's testimonies to be credible and since most of the crimes took place via social media, the evidence is strong.

In addition to five years in prison, the man will pay damages totaling SEK 550,000 and remain in custody until the sentence is enforced.
