The police were called to the rescue in the middle of the night by caregivers from the Nice University Hospital.
Around 3 a.m. on Tuesday, a couple and the woman's ex-partner who had come to the Pasteur hospital to receive treatment after initial scuffles at home continued their fight in the corridors of the establishment.
The two men were arrested and placed in police custody for acts of "willful violence with a weapon", indicates a police source.
Exchange of blows and truncheon
The situation had started to escalate earlier in the evening.
An individual invited himself to the home of his former concubine to attack him.
The new spouse of the latter then seized a truncheon to hit the attacker, specifies the same source.
Injured, the three individuals then went to the hospital for treatment.
But the tone would be raised again.
Only the woman remained in the hospital for treatment.
The other two were taken away by the police.
