Big fright for a 16-year-old girl who was the victim of an attempted kidnapping on Monday morning in the town of Guipavas near Brest (Finistère).

While she was walking, the teenager was verbally challenged by the passenger of a white van who invited her to get in the vehicle, report the gendarmes of Finistère on their Facebook page.

The teenager pretended not to hear anything and continued on her way while the van passed her.

Shortly after, the occupants of the vehicle turned around.

After blocking the girl's path at a bridge, they then tried to force her into their vehicle.

A motorist puts the two suspects to flight

Luckily, a motorist arrived in the area.

He got out of his vehicle and chased the two men away.

Very shocked, the teenager was slightly injured.

An investigation has been opened to try to arrest the two suspects who are actively sought.

In this context, the Guipavas gendarmerie has launched a call for witnesses, inviting anyone with information to contact it at 02.98.84.60.25.

According to the victim's statements, the two suspects were traveling in "a white and dirty van".

It would be "two men with dull complexion, one in his twenties and the second in his forties".

The motorist who put them to flight is also invited to come forward.
