On the night of Friday to Saturday, a 29-year-old man was stabbed to death in Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët near Avranches (Manche).

The victim died after being stabbed in the chest.

In this case, a man in his twenties was indicted for murder and imprisoned, we learned from a judicial source.

The respondent is one of three men who were taken into custody after the young man's death.

"Asked about the facts qualified as murder and complicity in murder", the three men were brought to the Coutances prosecutor's office on Sunday.

He admitted to delivering the fatal blow

They were presented to an investigating judge, and "one of them, having admitted having delivered the fatal blow, was indicted on the count of murder and then was temporarily imprisoned", specified the prosecutor of the Republic of Coutances Michaël Giraudet.

“He faces a sentence of 30 years of criminal imprisonment,” he recalled.

The other two were indicted on counts of hiding evidence and failing to assist a person in danger and placed under judicial supervision.

Apart from the three implicated, "two other occupants of the vehicle, 20 years old for one and a minor for the other, were heard as witnesses", indicated the prosecutor.

According to the first elements collected, the blow had been given to the victim following "reciprocal invectives with the occupants of a vehicle".
