4 countries announced on Sunday evening that the sighting of the crescent of the month of Shawwal 1443 AH has not been proven, and that the first day of Eid Al-Fitr will be on Tuesday, May 3, and that the Monday complements the month of Ramadan and Tuesday is Eid Al-Fitr.

And the International Astronomy Center stated, through its official account on the short tweets site, “Twitter”: “Pakistan announces that the sighting of the Shawwal crescent has not been proven, and that Tuesday, May 03, is the blessed Eid al-Fitr.”

Iran also announced that Monday is the completion of the month of Ramadan, and Tuesday is the first day of Eid al-Fitr, according to the Iranian "IRNA" news agency.

The International Astronomy Center added that Bangladesh set Tuesday the first of the month of Shawwal, after it was not possible to see the crescent.

In India, the committee in charge of surveying the crescent of the month of Shawwal announced, on Sunday evening, that it was not possible to see the crescent, thus setting Tuesday the first day of Eid Al-Fitr.
