74% of Russians said they "supported" the military invasion of Ukraine, down 7 points from March, an independent polling agency said, prolonging the fighting in Russia. It suggests that it is beginning to affect.

From April 21st to 27th, Russia's private opinion polling agency, Levada Center, conducted a face-to-face survey of more than 1,600 people over the age of 18 in Russia.



According to this,


74% of the respondents answered "supporting military operations", a decrease of 7 points from the previous month, while


▽ respondents who answered "not support" increased by 5 points to 19%. ..



In response to the question "Is the military operation successful?",


68% of the respondents answered "very successful" ▽ "generally successful", while


▽ "relatively failed" was 12 %,


▽ "Complete failure" was 5%,


and even though information control was strengthened, the total number of people who answered "failure" was 17%.



When asked the reasons for "failure" in multiple answers,


▽ "prolonged and invisible end" was the most common at 48%,


followed by


▽ "citizens such as children and Russian military personnel died, and many were lost. "Is" is 31%,


suggesting that prolonged fighting is beginning to affect Russian public opinion.



By age, one in five people (22%) up to the age of 24 answered that the operation failed, and a relatively large number of younger generations are pessimistic.



The "Levada Center" has been designated by the Putin administration as a "foreign agent" meaning so-called "foreign spy", and despite pressure, it continues its own polling activities and analysis.
