The procrastination of the PS and environmentalists are beginning to annoy the rest of the left.

With 21.95% for Jean-Luc Mélenchon in the first round of the presidential election, LFI quickly launched bilateral discussions with the other left-wing parties in order to find an agreement for the legislative elections.

But these negotiations continue to experience accelerations followed by sudden blockages, as evidenced by the validation of the program by the PS on Friday morning, a few hours before the interruption of the discussions.

“It is progressing, be sure that we are doing everything in our power to make it move forward”, assured Jean-Luc Mélenchon on Sunday, cheered by the demonstrators on his arrival at Place de la République.

“We are doing everything to move forward, not towards strengthening our group, (…) the subject is whether, yes or no, we have victory as our objective”.

Nevertheless, "if the discussions do not end tonight, then it will never end", declared in the Parisian parade of May 1 the leader of La France insoumise.

“We have to go back to the campaign, there are 5 weeks left,” he insisted.
