The so-called Victory Day is celebrated in Russia on May 9, and there the victory over the Nazis during World War II is celebrated.

Among other things, there will be large military parades all over Russia and President Vladimir Putin will give a speech.

- Then Putin must be able to present to the Russian people that the goals of what is called the military operation have largely been achieved.

But personally, I think the war will continue for a long time, says SVT's correspondent Bert Sundström in Morgonstudion.

He believes that the advancement of Russian forces now means that Russia is probably on its way to gain control of an area in eastern and southern Ukraine that it will try to retain - and that the next step is to take control of the entire coastline from the Sea of Azov to Moldova.

- Russia will certainly not start backing down but will continue with a military offensive on all fronts that are now relevant, from the north, from the east, from the south, so this will continue to get worse, says Bert Sundström about what is to count on the closest in the war.
