5.3 magnitude earthquake hits Georgia

“Today, at 23653 Tbilisi time, an earthquake of magnitude 5.3 occurred,” RIA Novosti reports.

As noted, the epicenter was the city of Dmanisi.

Information about the victims and destruction is not yet available.

Earlier, an earthquake of magnitude 5.4 was recorded in the Pacific Ocean near the Kuril Islands.
