The military-political neutrality of Moldova is a fiction, and the territory of the republic is mastered and controlled by NATO.

This opinion was expressed by Foreign Minister of the unrecognized Transnistria Vitaly Ignatiev.

“The territory of the RM (Republic of Moldova) is developed and controlled by NATO.

The declared military-political neutrality of Moldova is a fiction - three permanent NATO centers already operate in the Republic of Moldova, since 2006 an individual action plan for the Moldova-NATO partnership has been implemented, updated for 2022-2023.

According to the plan for the development of the national army of the Republic of Moldova for 2020-2030, an active transition is being carried out to the second stage of complete modernization according to NATO standards, ”TASS quoted Ignatiev as saying.

According to Vitaly Ignatiev, against the background of dynamically developing global and regional processes, including the integration of Moldova and Romania, the most realistic option for ending the Transnistrian conflict is a civilized "divorce" of Moldova from the region.

At the same time, as Ignatiev noted, “it is extremely important that any projects be implemented exclusively by peaceful means on the basis of a mandate issued by the people.”

Course towards destabilization

The head of the Foreign Ministry of Pridnestrovie also commented on the recent terrorist attacks on the territory of the unrecognized republic.

The main purpose of these provocations, he called inciting panic among local residents.

“The main goal of these terrorist attacks, most likely, was to provoke panic among the citizens of Transnistria,” TASS quoted Ignatiev as saying.

According to him, the task of the leadership of the republic is "to prevent such a development of events."

Recall that on April 25, unknown people fired grenade launchers at the building of the Ministry of State Security of the PMR in Tiraspol.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the unrecognized republic, the windows were broken and a fire started.

There were no casualties in the attack.

The next day, two explosions thundered in the Mayak village of the Grigoriopol region, as a result of which the two most powerful antennas of the Pridnestrovian radio and television center were disabled.

Both towers relayed Russian radio.

On April 26, PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky held a meeting of the Security Council, during which it became known that a military unit near the village of Parkany was also attacked.

In connection with the current situation in the republic, a "red" level of terrorist threat was introduced, according to which forces and means for the counter-terrorist operation are brought to a state of readiness, security of facilities where the likelihood of terrorist attacks is increased, and control over the movement of vehicles across the borders of the region are tightened.

Subsequently, on April 27, it became known about the shooting incident in the warehouse area near the village of Kolbasna, located near the border with Ukraine.

There is one of the largest ammunition depots in Europe.

Commenting on this episode, Ignatiev noted that now the warehouses are guarded with maximum vigilance.

“So far, the situation in the Kolbasna area remains under control.

However, any provocations around this object are extremely dangerous.

The damage in case of detonation of ammunition stored there can be enormous for everyone - material, economic, environmental," the head of the Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry stressed.

He warned that in the event of an emergency at the warehouse in Kolbasny, “not only Transnistria, but also the territories of Moldova and Ukraine will suffer.”

“It seems that the leadership of the neighboring republics cannot but understand this.

Pridnestrovie is doing everything in its power to avoid aggravation and tension, ”Ignatiev stated.

After the attacks, PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky suggested that Ukraine could be behind their organization.

“As the first conclusions of the urgent operational and investigative measures showed, the traces of these attacks lead to Ukraine,” Krasnoselsky believes.

He called on Kyiv to "investigate the facts of the illegal movement of certain militant groups and the commission of terrorist acts by them" on the territory of Transnistria.

In addition, Krasnoselsky asked Chisinau not to succumb to provocations.

"The most powerful process of rebuilding the world"

Transnistria gained de facto independence from Moldova in the early 1990s, and when Chisinau tried to regain control of the region by force, fierce fighting ensued, which reached its climax in June 1992, when the battle for Bender, the main port and major railway junction on the right bank, unfolded. Dniester.

The bloody armed conflict in Transnistria was stopped thanks to the introduction of a Russian peacekeeping contingent into the republic.

Now the peacekeeping mission in the PMR is being carried out by servicemen of the Operational Group of Russian Forces in Transnistria (OGRF).

Maia Sandu, the current president of Moldova, advocates the withdrawal of peacekeepers from Transnistria and claims that they were sent to the region, allegedly in order to prevent Moldova from gaining independence from the USSR.

According to Dmitry Litovkin, editor of the Nezavisimoe Voennoye Obozreniye newspaper, the process of Moldova's political integration with Romania is obvious, and Pridnestrovie is in limbo in this matter.

“The President of Moldova said that the solution to the Transnistrian conflict can only be in a political context.

Accordingly, those provocations that were committed, with a high degree of probability, from the Ukrainian side in relation to Pridnestrovie were an attempt to provoke the emergence of another side of the conflict and weaken the actions of the Russian army, ”says the analyst.

Andrey Koshkin, a military political scientist and head of the department of political science and sociology at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, agrees with this assessment.

“Before that, for quite a long time there was information that Romania was actively cooperating with Moldova in the direction of integration and inclusion of its territory into Romania.

Naturally, such a difficult operation cannot be carried out without the knowledge of NATO, that is, without the knowledge of Brussels, because Romania, as a member of the alliance, practically cannot make such decisions on its own,” the expert explained.

Such a situation is already difficult due to the status of the PMR, and is even more complicated in the context of events in Ukraine, Andrey Koshkin noted.

“There are forces that would like to unfreeze the conflict in Transnistria and integrate it into the overall picture of a large-scale clash in Ukraine.

This is initiated by Washington, a lot of money is being invested in it.

For many years, purposeful work has been carried out in Romania, and in Hungary, and in Poland - all in the context of the events organized around Ukraine, ”Koshkin emphasized.

He does not rule out that Pridnestrovie may become "a new point of military-political changes" in the world.

“A powerful process of rebuilding the world is underway, and it is natural that it is in this region that the Russian Federation plays the main role.

Otherwise, there will be an orgy, and the policy of the hegemon from Washington will have an impact here, the priority goal of which is the political and economic suppression of Europe, ”concluded the expert.
