The conflict in Ukraine is not regional, but global.

This was stated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

“Everyone avoids calling it that, but I will call it: we are talking about a world conflict.

This is not a limited or regional conflict, it is a global conflict.

If there is a side of the West that is arming one country, and on the other side there is such a force as Russia, then what is this if not a global conflict?

Whose infantry or who are the intermediaries is no longer important.

The bottom line is that there is an economic global conflict, a political conflict, ”TASS quotes the words of the Serbian leader.

The former head of the government of Ukraine, Mykola Azarov, has a similar opinion, calling the current situation "the war of the West against Russia."

“In essence, the West unleashed a war against Russia and Belarus as its ally.

He unleashed it on many fronts.

This is also a hot front, unleashed by the hands of the Kyiv regime.

They carry out a real war.

Economic, political, information, humanitarian war - and so on.

Everything that is inherent in a real war is in this case.

There is a real conflict that is inflating the West, ”Azarov stated.

The politician added that Western countries in this situation act purposefully, since this conflict fits into their strategic goal - a return to a unipolar world led by the United States and the dominance of their financial system.

"Dangerous Turn"

Note that earlier the American magazine Foreign Policy warned that the strategy chosen by the Biden administration to weaken Russia could lead to the development of the situation in Ukraine into a global conflict.

The material of the magazine notes that Washington and its allies have moved from providing assistance to Ukraine to protect it to a policy of undermining the power and influence of Russia.

Experts interviewed by Foreign Policy say the West is leaving Moscow no choice but to continue its efforts, raising the possibility of the conflict expanding beyond Ukraine.

Thus, Sean Monaghan, an expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, noted that Joe Biden's careless statements only assured Russia that its perception of the West was correct.

“According to the Kremlin, the West seeks to harm Russia.

It used to be unspoken.

Now they are talking about it, ”the expert emphasized.

In turn, ex-CIA analyst George Beebe admits that Washington is at risk of forgetting that the most important national interest of the United States is to prevent a nuclear conflict with the Russian Federation.

“The situation can take a dangerous turn,” Foreign Policy quotes him in his material.

In turn, the European diplomat, whose name the publication did not disclose, expressed dissatisfaction with the actions of the United States, which openly oppose Russia.

The Chinese edition of the Global Times also spoke on this topic, whose analysts also believe that the US desire to weaken Russia could lead to a global conflict.

Such tactics are used by Washington against any country that refuses to follow the political course of the West, writes Global Times.

The US is obsessed with global dominance, which it is trying to maintain through structures such as NATO and AUKUS, Chinese media reporters state.

New world

Recall that earlier the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, openly declared the desire to “weaken” Russia.

Following a joint visit to Kyiv with the head of the State Department, Anthony Blinken, Austin said that the United States wants to see the Russian Federation weakened to such an extent that it is unable to conduct military operations.

At the same time, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on April 26 that NATO was actually entering into a conflict with the Russian Federation, supplying weapons to the Kyiv regime.

The minister drew attention to the fact that these weapons would become a "legitimate target" for the Russian army.

“Of course, these weapons will be a legitimate target for the Russian armed forces, which operate as part of a special operation.

And warehouses, including in the west of Ukraine, have become such a target more than once,” the head of Russian diplomacy stressed.

From the point of view of analysts, fears that the Ukrainian conflict may take on a global scale are not unfounded.

So, the editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, Igor Korotchenko, in a RT commentary noted that the head of Serbia, Alexander Vučić, outlined the true state of affairs.

“This is a well-known fact, and in this case it is nothing more than a statement of reality,” the expert emphasized.

The events taking place in Ukraine are changing the entire world order, Korotchenko believes.

“The new world order, the new alignment of world forces and, accordingly, the new configuration of the world’s movement towards new landmarks and prospects will depend on the fate of the special military operation,” he explained.

As stated in a conversation with RT, the deputy director of the Institute for Strategic Studies and Forecasts of the RUDN University, a member of the political council of the MGER, Victoria Fedosova, the president of Serbia, indicating the global nature of the conflict, also signals that his country is under pressure from the West.

“The international pressure that Serbia faced when it did not join the sanctions campaign against Russia, as well as the exorbitant supply of weapons to Ukraine from the West, are indicators that allow Vučić to indicate the global level of the conflict,” the political scientist says.

In turn, a publication in the Chinese edition of Global Times suggests that the Biden administration has rocked the situation to the point where it will be difficult for the United States to negotiate a new security configuration without losing face, Fedosova stressed.

“The United States has previously abandoned negotiations on security guarantees in Europe, demonstrating a destructive course.

They have long abandoned the idea of “responsible global leadership” and switched to direct dictatorship,” the analyst emphasized.

Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya fell victim to such a policy, the expert recalled.

“Ukraine is now being used on all fronts to discredit Russia, and judging by the course taken, the pumping of weapons and informational provocations will stop only when Russia’s operation in Ukraine is nearing its end,” the RT interlocutor concluded.
