172 votes in favor of the amendment to the Prosecutor's Office Act while the people's power was absent .

It passed the plenary session with 3 votes and 2 abstentions.



Members of the Democratic Party and Justice Party who attended the meeting voted in favor, while Rep. Yong Hye-in of the Basic Income Party and independent lawmaker Yang Hyang-ja abstained.



The revised Prosecutor's Office Act approved by the Public Prosecutors' Office reduced the scope of the prosecution's direct investigation from the existing six major crimes to the two major corruption and economic crimes from four months later.



In light of the local elections in June, the investigation into election crimes was allowed until December 31 of this year as an exception.



People's Power criticized National Assembly Speaker Park Byeong-seok for taking the side of the Democratic Party and aiding in the National Assembly's suicide.
