At 14.44, the police and rescue service were called to Lillhärad in Västerås, where a garage was on fire.
- The garage building itself must be burnt down and the fire has spread to the grass next door, said Tobias Ahlén Svalbro, press spokesperson for RLC Mitt.
Rescue services from Västerås and Surahammar worked with several forces on the spot.

Shortly afterwards at 14.46, the rescue service was alerted to Godby in Arboga where a grass fire had spread.
Several stations were called to the scene and the extinguishing work was estimated to take two hours.
High fire risk
No person should have been injured in any of the fires.
