Das Erste: the US military in Germany is teaching the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to use Western weapons

According to the TV channel, at the moment two groups of about 50 people are teaching the proper handling of American artillery pieces.

According to the US Department of Defense, the training is being conducted by 160 Florida National Guard troops who were already in Ukraine for training purposes prior to the outbreak of hostilities.

Earlier, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that the Ukrainian military is being trained in various countries, including Germany, to use howitzers transferred by the United States.
