The videos and photos released by the Azou Regiment vividly capture the miserable lives of civilians trapped inside the steelworks.

[Badim Wojchenko / Mayor of Mariupol: Residents have already been locked up in hopes of rescue for more than 60 days.

I earnestly request that the international community come forward and save the lives of our residents.]

Russia has been bombarding the Azoustal Works dozens of times a day since it completely sealed off the Azoustal Works on the 21st.

Hundreds of civilians are imprisoned inside the steelworks who have not managed to escape from Mariupol, which Russia denies.

Azoustal Works is a stronghold of Ukrainian forces fighting to protect Mariupol.

Mariupol is the largest strategic point in southern Ukraine linking the eastern Donbas region with the Krum Peninsula.

Meanwhile, local Russian media reported that the Russian military's goal is to take over not only pro-Russian rebel-occupied territories, but also the entire eastern part of Donbas and southern Ukraine.
