British MP resigns after admitting he watched porn in Parliament

British lawmaker Neil Parrish, whose Conservative Party was toppled by Boris Johnson, announced his resignation from Parliament on Saturday after admitting he watched pornography twice on his phone in the House of Commons "in a moment of frenzy".

The Conservative Party suspended Parish on Friday after the MP presented himself to Parliament's values commissioner for consideration of his behaviour.

Parish resigned on Saturday, having previously said he would remain a member of parliament while the incident was investigated.

"Finally I can see that it is inappropriate for me to continue with the uproar and the harm I am causing to my family and the constituency in my constituency," Barish cried in an interview with the BBC on Saturday.

Parrish, a farmer, said that the first time he saw the explicit footage was by chance when he was looking for information on farm tractors on a website with a similar name and that he then watched them for a moment, which is what he should have done.

He continued, "But my crime, the biggest crime, was that I entered a second time and it was intentional. I was sitting at the time waiting for the polls at the side of the hall."

He was asked what was going through his mind at the time, and he described it as a "moment of madness."
