The Valborg celebration was started by students at Karlstad University already on Thursday and on Saturday it culminates with a big party on Gubbholmen in the central parts of the city.
Gubbholmen and Mariebergsskogen are two of the places where the police will be extra visible in Karlstad.
Also in the local police area's surrounding municipalities Kil, Forshaga, Hammarö and Grums, law enforcement will be on site at selected locations.

It is above all a matter of preventing young people who are not of their age from drinking alcohol or getting into trouble.
