- We believe that a large part of Gävle's population sympathizes with a nationalist party that takes the interests of Swedish workers first, says Gustav Kasselstrand, leader of Alternative For Sweden.

The party, which was founded by defectors from the Sweden Democrats, has made itself known for its anti-Muslim stance and immigration-critical views.

The party advocates massive return of what are called problem immigrants.

"We follow the situation hour by hour"

During the Easter weekend, violent riots broke out against the police in several places in Sweden, when the police were to protect the Danish-Swedish politician Rasmus Paludan, who had been granted permission for a public gathering, where he burned the Koran.

In view of these riots, the police are paying extra attention to signs that similar reactions would occur at Gustav Kasselstrand's first e-mail.

- I do not currently know of any demonstration against Alternative for Sweden, but we follow the situation hour by hour, says Mikael Hedström, press spokesperson for the Police Region Central.

Alternatives for Sweden currently have almost a hundred party members in the county, according to Kasselstrand.
