The Israeli authorities said that an American family caused panic and panic at Ben Gurion Airport yesterday, Thursday, when it showed security inspectors an unexploded ordnance that they found while visiting the occupied Golan Heights.

In a video recording spread on social media, terrified passengers appeared scattered in the airport departure hall.

The Israel Airports Authority said a man was taken to hospital with injuries sustained while trying to flee on a luggage cart.

The authority added that the family was allowed to board the plane after being questioned by security personnel and released.
