The Hagfors / Torsby route is one of twelve routes covered by the so-called public service obligation.

This means that there must be good accessibility from all over the country.

The Swedish Transport Administration is responsible for investigating the accessibility shortcomings that exist and whether these can be remedied by air.

The latest investigation is now in port and a decision has been made on continued public service obligations for all of the twelve existing routes.

This means continued scheduled traffic from Torsby / Hagfors from 2023-2027.

Right now it is Amapola Flyg AB that flies the route Arlanda-Hagfors-Torsby.

The next step will now be for the Swedish Transport Administration to procure who will be responsible for the traffic on the line.
