Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during negotiations with UN Secretary General António Guterres, compared the Ukrainian military holding civilians at the Azovstal plant in Mariupol with terrorists.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said on Sputnik radio that the Kyiv regime is not interested in evacuating people from Azovstal.

According to the UN, the Office for Humanitarian Affairs is preparing a team to evacuate civilians from the plant.
