The Tunisian ambassador in Moscow, Tariq Ben Salem, announced that the diplomatic mission at the Tunisian embassy is working to organize a visit by Tunisian President Kais Saied to Russia as soon as possible.

"We are now working to ensure the Tunisian president's visit to Russia as soon as possible," Ben Salem told the Russian "Sputnik" agency, today, Thursday.

The Tunisian ambassador suggested that this visit is likely to take place on the occasion of the expected participation of a Tunisian astronaut in a space mission that will take off from Russia to the International Space Station, he said.

It is noteworthy that since July 25, 2021, Tunisia has witnessed a severe political crisis when its president, Kais Saied, began exceptional measures, including the dissolution of Parliament and the Judicial Council and the issuance of legislation by presidential decrees.
