The advisory will take effect from Thursday 28 April.

The reason is that the security situation in the country is judged to have deteriorated for Swedes and other Europeans.

This is after what the Ministry for Foreign Affairs calls increasingly growing "expressions of dissatisfaction", and that Iran has in various ways criticized an ongoing trial against an Iranian citizen in Sweden.

In addition, several European citizens have recently been detained for no apparent reason.
