The Government will manage today to save the vote on the decree to alleviate the economic effects of the war in Ukraine and will do so thanks to the vote in favor of the five EH Bildu deputies.

Support for the norm will reach 175 supports with them, that is, it reaches an absolute majority.

The nationalist left

has

harshly criticized the case of the alleged espionage of 65 people related to the independence movement but has insisted that this time their vote will be favorable due to "responsibility towards the citizens".

In this way, the Government guarantees the support of the PSOE (120), United We Can (33), PNV (6), EH Bildu (5), PDeCAT (4), Más País (2), Compromís (1), Nueva Canarias (1), Regionalist Party of Cantabria (1) and the former

deputy Meri Pita.

In addition, the Canarian Coalition abstains.

The Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, has defended the decree of measures to mitigate the effects of the war, ensuring that "it improves and facilitates people's lives" and "for this reason", he said, addressing the groups in the Chamber, "Just for that, I ask you to vote today in favor of this decree law."

Bolaños has threaded a sentimental discourse with which he has tried to confront the parliamentary forces with the contradiction of pretending to defend their voters while rejecting a decree that benefits citizens.

"Outside of this decree there may be demagoguery, but do any of you want gasoline to be increased for citizens, or the electricity bill increased tomorrow? You will agree with me that it is incomprehensible to vote no on this decree law. Today's vote It's not about this Government, but about helping the citizens who voted for you. Those who vote 'no' today will harm the citizens with the sole purpose of harming this Government", warned the knowledgeable minister that on this occasion , their until now allies, form a front against the Executive for the case of espionage on 65 people related to the independence cause.

Bolaños has insisted that now is the time for "responsibility and leadership" so that what corresponds is "to vote by putting yourself in the place of the people who have put you in the seat."

"For this reason and only for this reason, I ask you today to support this decree law."

EH Bildu, finally, has opted for the 'yes', arguing in his responsibility towards the citizens although noting, for the umpteenth time, his disagreement with the forms of the Government and his deep criticism of the espionage of the independentistas.

The decree maintains the 60% reduction in the electricity bill, regulating the heaven-sent benefits of electricity companies to allocate them to reduce the electricity bill, injecting more than 1,000 million euros into the transport sector, lowering port tax, allocating 10,000 million to guarantees and providing aid to the agricultural, fishing and food sectors in addition to the cinema sector, deducting 20 cents for each liter of fuel, the increase in rental prices has been limited, the prohibition has been established of the dismissal in the companies that receive public aid and the increase of 15% of the minimum vital income.

"This is what is being voted on today", the minister has settled, who has also not hesitated to point out the agreement that the Government has achieved "so successfully" to limit the price of gas.

"This is the most ambitious plan in Europe", stressed Bolaños, who has also assured that the Government will approve as many measures as are necessary to alleviate the situation.
