US President Biden will come to Korea next month and hold a summit meeting with President Yoon Seok-yeol on the 21st.

It is the earliest summit with the United States to be held since the inauguration of any previous government.

White House announced that US President Joe Biden will tour Korea and Japan for five days starting from the 20th of next month.



I will visit Korea first before Japan, and I plan to hold a summit meeting with President Yun Seok-yeol on the 21st, the day after the visit, and have a dinner together. 



With the relocation of the President's Office, it is likely that the meeting will be held in the new office in Yongsan, and the banquet will be held in the nearby National Museum of Korea or the National Defense Convention Center. 



Whether President Biden will visit Panmunjom or the Demilitarized Zone is yet to be confirmed. 



The agenda for the summit will be economic security and scientific and technological cooperation in the face of North Korea's nuclear and missile threat and global supply chain instability, Yoon said.

The summit is held 11 days after the inauguration of President-elect Yoon, and is the earliest Korea-US summit since the inauguration of any previous government. 



President Biden will also meet with retired President Moon Jae-in on the 22nd, the Blue House said. 



The Blue House explained that President Biden requested a meeting first, and explained that "it is an expression of mutual trust during his tenure as well as emphasizing the continuation of the strong ROK-U.S. alliance."
