"Given the complex and unpredictable circumstances, JT Group continues to evaluate various options for its Russian business, including the potential transfer of ownership of it," the statement said.
On March 11, tobacco manufacturer British American Tobacco announced that it would leave Russia.
In addition, tobacco manufacturer Philip Morris International is suspending planned investments and launching new products in Russia, as well as reducing production volumes.
