Video taken by parent Blake Ferguson at the scene showed the children running and dodging after hearing the gunshots, screaming for their parents.

  A witness in the park said they saw a group of teenagers enter the parking lot and start a fight, then they fired at each other and fled the scene.

  Harvey Jacobs, a spokesman for North Charleston Police, said in a statement that the incident "has nothing to do with the park, the youth athlete, parents or coaches."

Police will "spare no effort to bring these suspects to justice".
