U.S. President Joe Biden, who is visiting South Korea for a summit with President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol next month, will also meet with President Moon Jae-in.

A Blue House official said, "During his tenure, we are discussing a specific schedule for a meeting between President Moon and President Biden between South Korea and the United States in order to build mutual trust and respect."

This meeting is said to be carried out at the request of President Biden, and it seems likely that the meeting with President Moon will be around the 22nd of next month, after the summit with Yoon-elect.

In this meeting, President Moon and President Biden are expected to discuss the efforts made by both countries to further strengthen the ROK-U.S. alliance and advance the peace process on the Korean Peninsula during their tenure.

During the past year of overlapping terms, President Moon and President Biden have met several times on the multilateral diplomatic stage, including the Korea-US summit held in Washington DC in May last year, the G7 summit in June last year, and the G20 summit in November.
