“We propose to allocate a special 10% quota in universities.

Within such a quota, there will be a separate competition, and children will be able to enter most universities without entrance examinations.

The current quota for receiving beneficiaries will include the children of all veterans who took part in the hostilities.

We also provide the preferential right to enroll the children of veterans in any university,” said Andrei Turchak, Secretary of the United Russia General Council.

He clarified that it is proposed to grant the right to preferential admission to universities to the children of combat veterans who died while performing combat missions outside of Russia, who received a disability or were awarded the title of Hero of Russia.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a federal law that gives participants in a special military operation in Ukraine and Donbass the status of a combat veteran.
