A 40-year-old man was shot dead on Tuesday evening in Sausset Park (Seine-Saint-Denis).

The facts took place around 9:30 p.m., behind the Villepinte RER station.

The victim was discovered in the Sausset departmental park, located in both the municipalities of Villepinte and Aulnay-sous-Bois, said a police source.

When help arrived, the man was in cardiorespiratory arrest, with serious injuries to his skull and face.

An open investigation

Despite the cardiac massages provided by the rescuers, the forties died half an hour later.

Three 7.65 mm caliber bullet casings were found near the body, the police source said.

According to witnesses who heard detonations, two people later fled towards the city of 3,000 in Aulnay-sous-Bois, adjacent to the park.

An investigation for intentional homicide was opened by the Bobigny prosecutor's office and entrusted to the Paris criminal brigade.
