On April 26, local time, US Vice President Harris tested positive for the new crown virus that day.

Harris, who is currently asymptomatic, will be in isolation at the vice president's residence and continue to work.

She will follow CDC guidelines and doctor's orders and will return to the White House after testing negative for the new coronavirus.

According to US media reports, Harris has previously been fully vaccinated against the new crown and has received two booster doses.

Since April, a number of senior Biden administration officials and members of Congress have been infected with the new crown virus, including US Commerce Secretary Raimondo, Attorney General Garland, and House Speaker Pelosi.

According to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University in the United States, as of 16:00 on the 26th, the cumulative number of confirmed cases of new crowns in the United States exceeded 81.084 million, and the cumulative number of deaths exceeded 991,000.

On the same day, Ashish Jha, the White House's new crown epidemic coordinator, called on the US Congress to provide funds as soon as possible to help develop new treatments for the new crown pneumonia at a briefing.

Ash Jaa said there is currently no way to ensure that everyone will not be infected with the new coronavirus, but the goal is to minimize the number of infections and hospitalizations.
