Monday, in the district of Aunettes in Evry, a young boy of 14, who left a college with two comrades was attacked without apparent reason by a stranger "about the same age", according to a police source.

He was seriously injured by a stab wound to the thigh which hit the femoral artery.

His condition was still considered serious on Tuesday, according to the prosecution, requested by AFP.

An investigation for attempted murder of a 15-year-old minor was entrusted to the Essonne judicial police.

Similar attacks

Last Wednesday in Longjumeau, a 15-year-old minor was seriously injured during a brawl between around thirty people from rival neighborhoods, in front of a vocational school.

Four young men between the ages of 17 and 18 were arrested in connection with this case.
