Park Hong-geun, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Kwon Seong-dong, floor leader of the People's Power, will meet at the National Assembly at 2 pm on the 27th, presided over by National Assembly Speaker Park Byeong-seok.
At the meeting, it is expected to discuss whether and when the so-called 'Complete Inspection Act', including the amendments to the Prosecutor's Office Act and the Criminal Procedure Act, passed last night by the Judiciary Committee, will be submitted to the National Assembly plenary session.
The Democratic Party passed the bill by a standing vote amid strong opposition from the people at the Legislative and Judiciary Committee at the time past 0 o'clock today.
The Democratic Party is in the position that it should hold a plenary session today to vote on the bill as it made the bill based on the agreement between the ruling and opposition parties.
It is also emphasized that the People's Power broke the agreement following Chairman Park's arbitration.
However, the People's Power is opposed to the need for careful discussion as the public's consent to the bill is insufficient and many side effects are expected.
They also claim that there are flaws in the process of passing the Judiciary Committee.
Chairman Park, who holds the key to the plenary session, is expected to make a final decision after listening to both sides.
