The unlimited debate at the National Assembly over the revision of the Prosecutor's Office Act, a so-called 'complete inspection' bill that aims to separate the prosecution's investigative powers from the prosecution's powers, ended the filibuster.

As the special session of the National Assembly ended past midnight, the filibuster also ended automatically.

The filibuster, which started around 5:10 pm yesterday (27th), ended in about 7 hours.

People's Power floor leader Kwon Seong-dong was the first runner, followed by Democratic Party's Kim Jong-min, People's Power Kim Woong, and Democratic Party's Ahn Min-seok.

Rep. Kim Woong spoke for the longest period of 2 hours and 50 minutes.

The next extraordinary session of the National Assembly will be convened three days later, at 2 pm on the 30th. At the opening, a vote on the amendment to the Prosecutor's Office Act will be voted on, followed by a filibuster to block the passage of the amendment to the Criminal Procedure Act.

The Democratic Party aims to finally promulgate the bill at the last cabinet meeting of the Moon Jae-in government on the 3rd of next month.
