After the Yoon Seok-Yeol government took office, it will be decided whether to remove the outdoor mask in late May.

In addition, within one month, the plan is to secure hospital beds and manpower to prepare for a re-emergence of COVID-19, to prepare measures to protect the high-risk and vulnerable groups, and to secure an additional supply of 1,010,000 edible medicines.

Within 100 days, it is expected to review methods such as changing the social distancing standard to a degree of concentration and confinement rather than a business type.

Ahn Cheol-soo, chairman of the Presidential Transition Committee, announced the 'Corona 19 Emergency Response 100-Day Roadmap' that was finalized by the Health and Medical Division of the Special Committee on the Corona Emergency Response of the Transition Committee at the Office of the Transition Committee in Toongui-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 27th.

Chairman Ahn said, "It is until August, 100 days after the launch, and many experts are expecting an autumn pandemic caused by other mutated viruses. .

The 100-day roadmap is under four directions: 'Establishment of a system for promoting quarantine policies based on scientific evidence', 'Establishment of a sustainable infectious disease response system', 'Thick protection of high-risk and vulnerable groups', and 'Securing safe vaccines and sufficient therapeutic agents' 34 It was prepared as a dog practice task.

The transition committee classified action tasks as tasks to be implemented within 30 days, tasks to be implemented within 50 days, and tasks to be implemented within 100 days of the inauguration of the new government.

First of all, we plan to review the declaration of 'outdoor mask free' within 30 days.

Chairman Ahn said, "I am trying to judge the situation by the end of May.

He said, "We will take off the outdoor mask but make it mandatory to wear an indoor mask when entering a building," he said.

The implementation of a nationwide large-scale antibody positivity rate survey was also included in the 30-day task.

In the fall and winter, measures to secure hospital beds and manpower in preparation for a re-invasion of COVID-19, measures to protect elderly care hospitals and facilities, and measures to prevent infection in schools, kindergartens, and daycare centers are also planned to be prepared within a month.

The high-risk group will be able to follow the 'fast track' from corona test to treatment and receive a prescription for Paxrovid on the day of the test, and the plan to introduce an additional 1,09,000 doses of edible medicines to the existing 1,062 thousand patients. It will also be confirmed within a month.

Within 50 days, the emergency/special patient treatment system and psychological support for the vulnerable will be strengthened, while the Corona response system will be shifted to general medical care such as local hospitals and clinics.

In addition, it was decided to establish an advisory body for infectious disease crisis directly under the president and abolish the daily recovery support committee.

The goal is to reestablish the daily quarantine system based on scientific evidence within 100 days.

In particular, we plan to review measures to change the social distancing method.

Chairman Ahn said, "We are not going to close all cafes or the whole health club, but scientific quarantine based on dense, close, and closed standards. It will be done as a standard,” he said.

He emphasized, "I will not go to the same way as before issuing an order to ban an entire industry."

The transition committee decided to prepare standards for ventilation facilities for high-risk multi-use facilities for this type of 'scientific quarantine'.

Projects within 100 days included the establishment of a central hospital specializing in infectious diseases, adjustment of the infectious disease grading system and reorganization of the quarantine system, establishment of an integrated quarantine information system, and establishment of vaccination plans such as the fourth vaccination.

In the past, the main budget, supplementary budget, and reserve funds have been used to respond to the corona virus, but in the future, we are also reviewing ways to create and utilize the Infectious Disease Crisis Response Fund, which can be operated flexibly.

In addition, we plan to create a support system by investigating the aftereffects of the corona virus (long covid), and raise the limit of treatment costs for adverse reactions to vaccines and death compensation to KRW 50 million and KRW 100 million, respectively.

Chairman Ahn said, "We are in an unfortunate situation where there is a growing distrust of the current government's policies." "A wrong decision that threatens the lives of many people because it is made by political judgment or public opinion rather than accepting and implementing expert opinions. I did it,” he pointed out.

"The new government will respond to COVID-19 with governance that prioritizes expert opinions through the Infectious Disease Crisis Response Advisory Organization, rather than making policy decisions at the Blue House based on political judgment," he said. We will disclose it openly based on data and strengthen communication with the public.”
